An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at the residence of the prime minister in north London.
The incident at Sir Keir Starmer’s property occurred early this morning, causing damage to the entrance of the house.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire and a police cordon has been put in place.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police stated: “Police were alerted by the London Fire Brigade to reports of a fire at a residential address in the early hours of Monday morning. Damage was caused to the entrance of the property, and an investigation into the fire is ongoing.”
The London Fire Brigade responded to the incident just after 1am and managed to extinguish the blaze within half an hour. They described it as a “small fire outside a property.”
Sir Keir Starmer is said to still own the home but has been living at the prime minister’s official residence in Downing Street since Labour’s election win in July. The property was being rented out at the time of the fire.
In a statement through his official spokesperson, Mr. Starmer expressed gratitude to the emergency services, saying: “I can only say that the Prime Minister thanks the emergency services for their work and the incident is currently under investigation.”
